Случилось это в 70-е гг. в Тюмени. Этот жуткий случай был похоронен в архивах. Волна преступлений, прокатившаяся тогда по Тюмени, вызвала массовый шок, который сначала загнал в квартиры население почти целой области, а затем вывел на улицы и чуть не привел к антикоммунистическому перевороту... За месяц из густонаселенного района города исчезли 19 детей. Розыски милиции ни к чему не привели. Последней в этом списке числилась Ирина Семенюк - 2 года, но нашлась она первой. В городе началась паника. Родители ни на шаг не отпускали детей от себя, многие дети не ходили в школы и детские сады. Сидела дома и Ирочка Семенюк. Так получилось, что однажды отец девочки на своем "Москвиче" задавил у подъезда болонку, принадлежавшую семье молодых врачей, живущих над ними. Он предлагал соседям большие деньги, но те отказались. Через месяц внезапно исчезла Ирочка.

Маленькое существо рвалось в стороны на своей цепочке, поскальзывалось и, падая, ударяясь о ванну, издавало те самые звуки, которые Семенюки приняли за жалобный лай собаки. Язык у Иры тоже был вырезан. Взрослые мужчины не скрывали слез, глядя на полудевочку-полусобаку. Особая группа задержала этих врачей-садистов. Милиционеры едва сдерживали себя, чтобы не устроить самосуд. Один лейтенант, не выдержав, нанес несколько ударов преступнику в пах, и, если бы его не остановили, забил бы насмерть. Но шестеро людей, находившихся в квартире, не успели сдвинуться с места, как все было кончено. Арестованные кивнули друг другу, и в тот же миг сверкнули два тонких лезвия. Прежде чем их успели схватить за руки, скальпели, направленные мастерскими движениями, распороли животы обоим, и внутренности тяжело плюхнулись на ковер. Оба палача рухнули без признаков жизни. Врач скорой помощи констатировал смерть. Кроме Иры Семенюк, а точнее того, что от нее осталось, нашелся только Илюша Монин - 4 лет. Его обнаружили недалеко от Тюмени. По грязным одеялам по полу ползало существо, в котором не сразу можно было признать человека: голова с пустыми фиолетовыми глазницами, обрубок туловища и всего одна рука, с помощью которой Ильюша передвигался от валявшегося в углу хламья к алюминиевой миске с кислым молоком, облепленной множеством тараканов.
