Радость моя! Отчего мы осуждаем братий своих? Оттого, что не стараемся познать самих себя. Кто занят познанием самого себя, тому некогда замечать за другими.
Осуждай себя и перестанешь осуждать других. Осуждай дурное дело, а самого делающего не осуждай.
Самих себя должно нам считать грешнейшими всех и всякое дурное дело прощать ближнему, а ненавидеть только дьявола, который прельстил его.
Притом дверь покаяния всем отверста и неизвестно, кто прежде войдет в нее - ты ли, осуждающий, или осуждаемый тобою.
Итак, возлюбленные, не будем наблюдать за чужими грехами, и осуждать других.
