Сын мой! если ты поручился за ближнего твоего и дал руку твою за другого, -
ты опутал себя словами уст твоих, пойман словами уст твоих.
Сделай же, сын мой, вот что, и избавь себя, так как ты попался в руки ближнего твоего: пойди, пади к ногам и умоляй ближнего твоего;
не давай сна глазам твоим и дремания веждам твоим;
спасайся, как серна из руки и как птица из руки птицелова.
Пойди к муравью, ленивец, посмотри на действия его, и будь мудрым.
Нет у него ни начальника, ни приставника, ни повелителя;
но он заготовляет летом хлеб свой, собирает во время жатвы пищу свою.
Доколе ты, ленивец, будешь спать? когда ты встанешь от сна твоего?
Немного поспишь, немного подремлешь, немного, сложив руки, полежишь:
и придет, как прохожий, бедность твоя, и нужда твоя, как разбойник.
Человек лукавый, человек нечестивый ходит со лживыми устами,
мигает глазами своими, говорит ногами своими, дает знаки пальцами своими;
коварство в сердце его: он умышляет зло во всякое время, сеет раздоры.
Зато внезапно придет погибель его, вдруг будет разбит без исцеления.
Вот шесть, что ненавидит Господь, даже семь, что мерзость душе Его:
глаза гордые, язык лживый и руки, проливающие кровь невинную,
сердце, кующее злые замыслы, ноги, быстро бегущие к злодейству,
лжесвидетель, наговаривающий ложь и сеющий раздор между братьями.
Сын мой! храни заповедь отца твоего и не отвергай наставления матери твоей;
навяжи их навсегда на сердце твое, обвяжи ими шею твою.
Когда ты пойдешь, они будут руководить тебя; когда ляжешь спать, будут охранять тебя; когда пробудишься, будут беседовать с тобою:
ибо заповедь есть светильник, и наставление свет, и назидательные поучения путь к жизни,
чтобы остерегать тебя от негодной женщины, от льстивого языка чужой.
Не пожелай красоты ее в сердце твоем, и да не увлечет она тебя ресницами своими;
потому что из-за жены блудной обнищевают до куска хлеба, а замужняя жена уловляет дорогую душу.
Может ли кто взять себе огонь в пазуху, чтобы не прогорело платье его?
Может ли кто ходить по горящим угольям, чтобы не обжечь ног своих?
То же бывает и с тем, кто входит к жене ближнего своего: кто прикоснется к ней, не останется без вины.
Не спускают вору, если он крадет, чтобы насытить душу свою, когда он голоден;
но, будучи пойман, он заплатит всемеро, отдаст все имущество дома своего.
Кто же прелюбодействует с женщиною, у того нет ума; тот губит душу свою, кто делает это:
побои и позор найдет он, и бесчестие его не изгладится,
потому что ревность ярость мужа, и не пощадит он в день мщения,
не примет никакого выкупа и не удовольствуется, сколько бы ты ни умножал даров.

чтобы остерегать тебя от негодной женщины, от льстивого языка чужой.
Не пожелай красоты ее в сердце твоем, и да не увлечет она тебя ресницами своими;
потому что из-за жены блудной обнищевают до куска хлеба, а замужняя жена уловляет дорогую душу.

не примет никакого выкупа и не удовольствуется, сколько бы ты ни умножал даров.
My son! if you vouched for your neighbor and gave your hand for another, -
you have entangled yourself with the words of your mouth, caught with the words of your mouth.
Do this, my son, that's what, and save yourself, since you have fallen into the hands of your neighbor: go and fall at your feet and implore your neighbor;
do not let your eyes sleep, and do not sleep your visions;
save yourself like a chamois from a hand and like a bird from a bird's hand.
Go to the ant, sloth, look at his actions, and be wise.
He has neither a chief, nor an officer, nor a master;
but he makes his bread in summer, gathers his food in time of harvest.
How long will you sloth go to sleep? when will you get up from your sleep?
You will sleep a little, a little nap, a little, with folded hands, you will lie down:
and come like a passer-by, your poverty, and your need, like a robber.
A wicked man, a wicked man walks with false lips,
flashes with his eyes, speaks with his feet, gives signs with his fingers;
deceit in his heart: he intends evil at all times, sows discord.
But suddenly his death will come, will suddenly be broken without healing.
Here are six that the Lord hates, even seven that the abomination of his soul:
the eyes are proud, the tongue is deceitful, and the hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that forges evil intentions, legs that quickly run to evil,
a false witness who slanders a lie and sows discord between brothers.
My son! Keep the commandment of your father, and do not reject the advice of your mother;
bind them forever upon your heart, tie them around your neck.
When you go, they will guide you; when you lie down, they will guard you; When you awake, they will talk with you:
For a commandment is a lamp, and a commandment is a light, and instructive teachings are the way to life,
to guard you from a worthless woman, from a flattering alien tongue.
Do not desire her beauty in your heart, nor may she draw you away with her eyelashes;
because the prodigal's wife is impoverished to a piece of bread, and a married wife catches a dear soul.
Can anyone take a fire in his bosom so that his dress does not burn?
Can anyone walk on burning coals, so as not to burn their feet?
The same happens with the one who enters his neighbor's wife: he who touches her will not be left without guilt.
They do not let a thief down if he steals in order to satiate his soul when he is hungry;
but being caught, he will pay in full, give all the property of his house.
Whoever commits adultery with a woman has no mind; he destroys his soul who does this:
he will find the beating and shame, and his disgrace will not be blotted out
because jealousy is the wrath of the husband, and he will not spare the day of vengeance,
He will not accept any redemption and will not be satisfied no matter how many gifts you multiply.
