In ancient times, the narrative of the evangelists was most often perceived "from hearing." For centuries have passed, and many printed publications of the Holy Scripture in various languages ​​have become accessible to everyone who knows how to read. But in our time, people are in the need not only to read, but also to hear the gospel, as in the very first years of Christian history. Such a desire, usually carried out in the rank of worship committed in our temples, can now be supplemented by listening to the narratives of four evangelists in a synodal translation into Russian. Today, when the main part of society, plunging with his head in the worldly vanity, ceases to read even fiction, the perception of the gospel in Russian becomes more relevant. Each episode from the earthly life of Jesus Christ is presented here in a chronological order and is represented by the text of one of the Gospels. Only the Secret Supper is voiced in four versions. The publication was the blessing of the Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II and recommended by the Patriarchal Synodal Biblical Commission of the Russian Orthodox Church as a textbook.
