Зачем, живя не так, как ты хотел,
сказав себе: "Неведомое рядом",
пытаешься нарушить свой предел
и тьму вещей рассеиваешь взглядом?
Среди страниц не лучших из людей
виденьем истин зрения не мучай
и, запирая множество дверей,
смотри, учись, как все решает случай.
И в темноте утраивая взор,
пройдя сквозь дым платоновой пещеры,
лишь убедишься в зыбкости опор,
не обретя ни разума, ни веры.
И путая преданья старины,
и юношам рассказывая сказки,
ты не откроешь пенье тишины
и не покажешь - раздвигая связки -
великих слов во рту не унести,
увидев вещи, коим нет названья,
но ты готов себя спасти,
сжимая вовремя в горсти
свои великие призванья:
русалке раздвигаешь хвост
и каждый вздох пускаешь в рост,
и над собой возводишь мост.
И на песке рисуешь знания.
