И дни мерещились длинней,
Мне бабушка читала книжки
Про славных королей.
В огромном замке, в центре зала,
Весь в окружение господ,
Сидел источник звездной славы,
Что признавал народ.
И каждый день мне голос нежный,
Искусно рисовал бои,-
Как на равнине белоснежной
Сражались короли.
Там кровь лилась и гнулись латы,
Там содрогалася земля.
Там от рассвета до заката
Во имя короля.
И в те минуты мне казалось,

А бабушка лишь улыбалась:
«Дослушай, удивлю!»

My grandmother read books
About the glorious kings.
In the huge castle, in the center of the hall,
All surrounded by gentlemen,
Sat the source of stellar glory,
What the people recognized.
And every day my voice is gentle,
Artfully painted fights, -
As on plain snow white
Kings fought.
There blood flowed and bent armor,
There the earth trembled.
There from dawn to dusk
In the name of the king.
And in those moments it seemed to me
That there is no salvation for the king.
And the grandmother only smiled:
“Listen, surprise!”
For a long time I am not a boy
And the days go by faster.
I read books to my grandmother
