Дада Уме Иди Амин (17 мая 1928 — 16 августа 2003) — президент Уганды в 1971—1979 годах, создатель одного из самых жестоких тоталитарных режимов в Африке. Правление Амина отмечалось проявлениями экстремистского национализма и трайбализма. Согласно подсчётам, проведенным после свержения Амина, жертвами его репрессий стали от 300 000 до 500 000 (из 19 000 000) граждан Уганды, не менее двух тысяч он убил лично.
