Ходи по пятам, ожидая в ответ поцелуя.
Дорогу найду как в былом непрямую.
Вдоль озера дальнего с россыпью желтых кувшинок,
где длинный камыш заплетен паутиной.
На лодку взберемся и будешь грести как когда-то,
когда мы бродили вдвоем в классе пятом.
Плескались ударом о воду нелегкие вёсла.

Along the far lake with a scattering of yellow water lilies,
where the long reeds are braided by cobwebs.
We’ll climb the boat and row as once,
when we wandered together in fifth grade.
Heavy oars splashed with a blow to the water.
And the days passed, weeks and springs.
A little embarrassed, first confessed his love to me,
And the trace that stretched behind the boat was long.
Tall pines creaking from the wind creaked
and bird trills were heard in spring.
On the leaves of lilies, frogs dived under the waves ...
But we never kissed!
