Душе моя, како не устрашаешися,
Видяше во гробѣх лежащи
Кости обнажены, смердящи?
Разумѣи и виждь:
Гдѣ князе, гдѣ владыка,

Гдѣ велѣрѣчие премудрости?
Гдѣ гордящиеся о народѣхо?
Гдѣ златом и бисеромъ красящася?
Гдѣ кичения и любви?
Гдѣ мздоимание?
И судъ нелицемѣрено, неправдою убыстрено?
