Слева на сцене небольшое покосившееся здание (напоминающее очень простую капеллу) без двери и окон. К нему примыкает небольшая кособокая башенка с маленьким прыгающим колокольчиком. От колокольчика идёт шнур.
Маленький ребёнок, одетый в белую рубашку и сидящий на земле (лицом к зрителю), тянет за нижний конец шнура. Справа от здания, на той же самой линии стоит очень толстый человек, одетый в чёрное. Лицо совершенно 6елое, очень невыразительное.
Капелла — грязно-красная.
Башня — ярко-синяя.
Колокольчик из листовой жести.
Задник серый, гладкий.
Чёрный человек стоит, широко расставив ноги, упираясь руками в бёдра. Ребёнок выпускает шнур из руки. Становится темно.
