В святые дни сильнее искушенья:
Сколь часто в повседневности сует
Мы предаём небесное прощенье,
Сменив обет на праздничный обед.
Препятствиям земным не видно края:
Невовремя, не к месту, не с руки...
Но в страшный миг, без пламени сгорая,
Сквозь слёзы шепчем: "Боже, помоги!"
А вырулив на гладкую дорогу,
Почувствовав победы торжество -
Мы благодарны будем только Богу,
И всё решим на завтра.

Всем хочется тепла и утешенья,
Но больно бьёт опущенная плеть.
