«Посланник Аллаха, да ниспошлёт Аллах ему мир и благие приветствия, обучал нас молитве истихара, так как обучал нас суре из Курана, и говорил: «Когда кто-то из вас захочет сделать какое-либо дело, то пусть совершит дополнительную молитву в два рака’ата, и потом скажет: О Аллах, поистине я прошу Тебя помочь мне Твоим знанием, и укрепить меня Твоим могуществом и я прошу тебя из Твоей Великой милости, ибо, поистине Ты знаешь, а я не знаю, ведь Ты Знающий скрытое. О Аллах, если Ты знаешь, что это дело будет благом для меня в моей религии и для моей жизни, и для исхода моих дел (или он сказал: для этой жизни и будущей), то предопредели мне его и облегчи мне, а затем сделай его для меня благословенным. А если Ты знаешь, что это дело обернётся злом для моей религии, моей жизни и для исхода моих дел (или он сказал: для этой жизни и будущей), то отдали его от меня и отдали меня от него, и предопредели мне благо где бы ни было оно, а потом сделай меня довольным этим». И сказал: «И пусть укажет своё дело».

O Allah, if you know that this work will be good for me in my religion and for my life, and for the outcome of my affairs (or he said: for this life and the future one), then predetermine it for me and make it easier for me, and then do its blessed to me. And if you know that this deed will turn out to be evil for my religion, my life and for the outcome of my affairs (or he said: for this life and the future one), then they gave him away from me and gave me away from him, and predetermined good for me wherever nor was it, and then make me happy with it. " And he said: "And let him indicate his business."
