1. О закутавшийся!
2. Простаивай ночь без малого,
3. половину ночи или чуть меньше того,
4. или чуть больше того, и читай Коран размеренным чтением.
5. Мы непременно ниспошлем тебе весомые слова.
6. Воистину, молитвы после пробуждения среди ночи тяжелее и яснее по изложению.
7. Воистину, днем ты бываешь подолгу занят.
8. Поминай же имя Господа твоего и посвяти себя Ему полностью.
9. Господь востока и запада – нет божества, кроме Него. Сделай же Его своим Попечителем и Хранителем.
10. Терпимо относись к их словам и сторонись их красиво.
11. Оставь Меня с обвиняющими во лжи, которые пользуются мирскими благами, и предоставь им небольшую отсрочку.
12. Воистину, есть у Нас оковы и Ад,
13. еда, которой давятся, и мучительные страдания.
14. В тот день земля и горы сотрясутся, и горы превратятся в холмы сыпучего песка.
15. Мы отправили к вам Посланника свидетелем против вас, подобно тому, как отправили посланника к Фараону.
16. Фараон ослушался посланника, и Мы схватили его Хваткой суровой.
17. Как же вы спасетесь, если не уверуете, в тот день, который заставит поседеть младенцев?
18. Небо тогда будет расколото, и обещание Его непременно исполнится.
19. Воистину, это – Назидание, и всякий, кто пожелает, встанет на путь к своему Господу.
20. Воистину, твой Господь знает, что ты и часть тех, кто с тобой, простаиваете менее двух третей ночи, или половину ее, или треть ее. Аллах определяет меру дня и ночи. Он знает, что вам не сосчитать этого, и принимает ваши покаяния. Читайте же из Корана то, что необременительно для вас. Он знает, что среди вас будут больные, что одни странствуют по земле в поисках милости Аллаха, а другие сражаются на пути Аллаха. Читайте же из него то, что необременительно для вас, совершайте намаз, раздавайте закят и одолжайте Аллаху прекрасный заем. Какое бы добро вы ни приготовили для себя заранее, вы найдете его у Аллаха в виде лучшего и большего вознаграждения. Просите же у Аллаха прощения, ведь Аллах – Прощающий, Милосердный.

3. half the night or a little less than that
4. or a bit more, and read the Quran measured reading.
5. We will certainly send you weighty words.
6. Verily, the prayers upon awakening in the middle of the night are harder and clearer in their presentation.
7. Verily, in the afternoon you are long occupied.
8. Remember the name of your Lord and dedicate yourself completely to Him.
9. The Lord of the east and the west - there is no god but Him. Make Him your Guardian and Keeper.
10. Be tolerant of their words and keep them beautiful.
11. Leave Me with the accusers of lies that enjoy worldly goods, and grant them a short respite.
12. Verily, We have fetters and Hell,
13. food, which choke, and painful suffering.
14. On that day, the land and the mountains will shake, and the mountains will be turned into hills of loose sand.
15. We sent a messenger to you as a witness against you, just as we sent a messenger to Pharaoh.
16. Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, and We seized him with a grasp of harshness.
17. How can you be saved if you do not believe that day that will make babies turn gray?
18. The sky will then be split, and His promise will surely be fulfilled.
19. Truly, this is an upbringing, and anyone who desires will take the path to his Lord.
20. Verily, your Lord knows that you and a part of those who are with you stand idle less than two thirds of the night, or half of it, or a third of it. Allah determines the measure of day and night. He knows that you cannot count this, and he accepts your repentance. Read the same from the Quran that is not burdensome for you. He knows that among you there will be the sick, that some wander the earth in search of the mercy of Allah, while others fight in the way of Allah. Read from it that which is not burdensome for you, namaz, hand out zakat and lend Allah a wonderful loan. Whatever good you may have prepared for yourself in advance, you will find it with Allah in the form of a better and greater reward. Ask Allah for forgiveness, for Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
