Предполагаемый текст моей предполагаемой речи на предполагаемом съезде историков стран социалистического лагеря, если бы таковой съезд состоялся и если б мне была оказана высокая честь сказать на этом съезде вступительное слово
Полмира в крови, и в развалинах век,
И сказано было недаром:
"Как ныне сбирается вещий Олег
Отмстить неразумным хазарам..."
И эти звенящие медью слова,
Мы все повторяли не раз, и не два.
Но как-то с трибуны большой человек
Воскрикнул с волненьем и жаром:
"Однажды задумал предатель Олег
Отмстить нашим братьям хазарам..."
Приходят слова и уходят слова,
За правдою правда вступает в права.
Сменяются правды, как в оттепель снег,
И скажем, чтоб кончилась смута:
Каким-то хазарам, какой-то Олег,
За что-то отмстил почему-то!
И этот марксистский подход к старине
Давно применяется в нашей стране,
Он нашей стране пригодился вполне,
И вашей стране пригоодится вполне,
Поскольку вы тоже в таком же... лагере,
Он вам пригодится вполне!
