О преодолении духовной тьмы.
В Великий Четверг Господь совершил великие дела. Господь собрал своих учеников в Иерусалиме в горнице. Это говорит о том, что мы тоже должны собираться вместе в некой горнице. Горница – это вышнее жилье. Мы приходим в Храм, который тоже является жилищем Бога Живого. Мы приходим сюда, чтобы возвыситься своими мыслями, оторваться от земли и вознестись своими мыслями и молитвами к Богу. В горнице Господь совершил первую литургию, первое Таинство Евхаристии.
Но перед этим Он совершил еще одно великое дело. Будучи Господом и Учителем, Он Своим ученикам омыл ноги, то есть Он в себе самом нам дал образ великого смирения.
Господь в Церкви нас всегда омывает, перед Таинством Причастия мы всегда исповедуемся. Мы должны омывать свою душу от той грязи, которую мы накапливаем, общаясь с миром. В Таинстве Исповеди Господь нас очищает от этой грязи. И только потом мы можем приступать к принятию Святых Христовых Тайн – Тела и Крови Христовых.

On overcoming spiritual darkness.
On Maundy Thursday, the Lord accomplished great things. The Lord gathered his disciples in the upper room in Jerusalem. This suggests that we, too, should get together in a certain room. The upper room is the upper dwelling. We come to the Temple, which is also the home of the Living God. We come here to exalt ourselves in our thoughts, to tear ourselves off the earth, and to ascend our thoughts and prayers to God. In the chamber, the Lord performed the first liturgy, the first Sacrament of the Eucharist.
But before this He did another great work. Being the Lord and Teacher, He washed His disciples' feet, that is, He in himself gave us an image of great humility.
The Lord in the Church always bathes us, before the Sacrament of the Sacrament we always confess. We must wash our souls from the dirt that we accumulate, communicating with the world. In the Sacrament of Confession, the Lord cleanses us of this filth. And only then can we begin to accept the Holy Mysteries of Christ - the Body and Blood of Christ.
