Предлагаемые Вашему вниманию беседы святителя Иоанна Златоустого, произнесенные им в Антиохии в 388-м году, тесно связаны между собой мыслью, что виною всех зол, какие диавол привносит в жизнь человеческую, служит не он сам, но лишь наша беспечность и нерадение. Ни его злоба, ни противная воля злых людей нисколько не может повредить нам, если мы внимательны к самим себе. "Грех рождается от беспечности, а добродетель происходит от рачительности". Также в доступной форме даются ответы на вопросы тех, которые негодуют на наказания Божии и соблазняются благополучием нечестивых и несчастиями праведных.
