Святитель Тихон Задонский — великий молитвенник и подвижник, крупнейший православный писатель XVIII века.
Его память совершается дважды в год — 1 и 26 августа. Образ святости и подвижничества святителя Тихона Задонского особенно близок идеалу русского человека, всегда глубоко почитавшего в своих архипастырях искреннюю веру, смирение, открытую для мира простоту и сердечное попечение о людях. «Господь Бог во многих случаях его слушал», — писал келейник святителя Тихона.
Святитель Тихон Задонский — один из Небесных покровителей Святогорской Лавры. В честь трёх святителей, в числе которых прославленный Церковью Задонский чудотворец, назван левый придел Свято-Успенского собора обители. Там же находится икона с частицей его святых мощей.

His memory takes place twice a year - on August 1 and 26. The image of holiness and asceticism of Saint Tikhon of Zadonsk is especially close to the ideal of the Russian man, who always deeply honored in his archpastors sincere faith, humility, openness to the world, simplicity and heartfelt care of people. “The Lord God listened to him in many cases,” wrote the cell attendant of St. Tikhon.
Saint Tikhon of Zadonsk is one of the Heavenly patrons of the Svyatogorsk Lavra. In honor of the three holy hierarchs, including the Zadonsky wonderworker, glorified by the Church, was named the left aisle of the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the monastery. There is also an icon with a particle of his holy relics.
