Достоевский действительно признавал факт в его жизни связанный с изнасилованием ребенка, но он не был его участником. На приёме у г-жи Философовой, когда Достоевскому задали вопрос - "Какой самый страшный, по его мнению, грех". Достоевский ответил - "Самое ужасное отнять жизнь, но еще страшнее изнасиловать ребенка..." затем поведал историю о том, как будучи ребенком, он стал свидетелем изнасилования девочки, подруги маленького Достоевского каким то пьяным уродом. Девочка умерла от последствий на глазах Федора. Именно отсюда идёт этот один из самых скандальных мотивов в творчестве Федора Михайловича.
