Ветер
Ветер по небу вдаль летел,
Свистел и выл, вопил и пел,
Нагнал в долину мрак густой,
И тень простерлась над землей.
Ветер от ледяных вершин -
Во тьме остался он один,
Срывал листву с седых ветвей,
Студил деревья до корней.
Ветер разбил стекло озер,
Залил дождем, задул костер,
Лиловым вереском шуршал,
И дальше на восток бежал.
Рваные клочья облаков
Гнались за ним. Он был таков,
Плясал на скалах, гладил мох,
Клубил неторных пыль дорог.
В город влетел, сожжен дотла,
В пещеру - там, где дым-зола,
Гора сокровищ в глубине,
И хищный ящер спит на ней.
Ветер в руинах заплутал.
Вот, наконец, он дуть устал,
Столб дыма кольцами завил,
Достиг Луны. Вздохнул. Застыл.

Wind
The wind flew across the sky,
Whistling and howling, yelling and singing
Overto the valley of darkness thick,
And the shadow spread over the earth.
Wind from icy peaks -
In the darkness he was alone
Tore foliage from gray branches,
Studied trees to the roots.
The wind broke the glass of the lakes,
He poured rain, blew a fire,
Lilac heather rustled,
And further east ran.
Ripped shreds of clouds
Chased him. He was such
Danced on the rocks, stroked the moss,
The club of the irreverent dust of the road.
In the city flew, burned to the ground,
In the cave - where the smoke is ash,
Mountain treasure in the depths
And the rapacious lizard is sleeping on it.
The wind in the ruins got lost.
Here, finally, he was blowing tired,
A column of smoke curled rings,
Reached the moon. Sighed. Frozen.
