Вы — соль земли. Если же соль потеряет силу, то чем сделаешь ее соленою? Она уже ни к чему негодна, как разве выбросить ее вон на попрание людям. Вы — свет мира. Не может укрыться город, стоящий на верху горы. И, зажегши свечу, не ставят ее под сосудом, но на подсвечнике, и светит всем в доме. Так да светит свет ваш пред людьми, чтобы они видели ваши добрые дела и прославляли Отца вашего Небесного.

You are the salt of the earth. If the salt loses its strength, how will you make it salty? It is already useless to anything, how can it be thrown out to be trampled upon people. You are the light of the world. The city on the top of the mountain can not be hidden. And, lighting a candle, do not put it under a vessel, but on a candlestick, and shines all in the house. So let your light shine before men so that they will see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.
