Каждый день я смотрю на всех свысока,
Головою могу достать облака.
В мечтах я давно уж до звезд долетел,
Но вправду так трудно, хотя я хотел.
Мой день начинается с пения птиц,
Одной со мной крови, - стрижей и синиц.
Хоть птица я сам, но петь - не пою.
Без смысла занятий совсем не люблю.
Летать - вот прекрасное, чудное дело:
Солнцу навстречу нести свое тело,
И ветра чтоб волны врезались в глаза,
И взять, и забыть всю дорогу назад.
Как птицы другие, я не такой:
Большой очень, грузный, птах я другой.
Соловей вот чарующ, я хотел быть как он,
Но жаль, что кругом все зовут меня "Слон".
В мечту свою верю, как в светлый рассвет,
Ею грезить я буду хоть сто тысяч лет.
И когда-то посмотрите в небо вы вдруг,
И узрите меня, летящим на юг.

Every day I look down on everyone
I can get clouds with my head.
In dreams, I flew to the stars a long time ago
But really so hard, although I wanted to.
My day begins with birdsong
With one blood with me - swifts and tits.
Although I myself am a bird, I don’t sing.
Without the meaning of classes I do not like at all.
Flying is a wonderful, wonderful thing:
Toward the sun to carry your body,
And the wind so the waves hit my eyes
And take it and forget it all the way back.
Like other birds, I'm not like this:
Big very, heavy, bird I am different.
Charming a nightingale, I wanted to be like him,
But it’s a pity that all around me call me “Elephant”.
I believe in my dream, like in a bright dawn,
I will dream of it at least a hundred thousand years.
And once you look into the sky you suddenly
And behold me flying south.
