В августе исполняется 72 года со дня атомных бомбардировок городов Хиросима и Нагасаки. На этой неделе мы представим серию программ из трех выпусков, посвященных этой годовщине. August marks 72 years since the day of the atomic bombing of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This week we will present a series of programs from three editions dedicated to this anniversary. In the first broadcast, we will tell the story of a woman whose mother survived the atomic bombing. Mother Katsumi Takemoto was 15 years old when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. She later returned to her hometown in the Hawaiian Islands, but until her death, she rarely remembered those days even with her family. Takemoto and her son went to Hiroshima to see the school where the mother studied, to meet her friends and learn more about the atomic bombing.
