Был в синагоге человек, имевший нечистого духа бесовского, и он закричал громким голосом: оставь; что Тебе до нас, Иисус Назарянин? Ты пришел погубить нас; знаю Тебя, кто Ты, Святый Божий. Иисус запретил ему, сказав: замолчи и выйди из него. И бес, повергнув его посреди синагоги, вышел из него, нимало не повредив ему. И напал на всех ужас, и рассуждали между собою: что это значит, что Он со властью и силою повелевает нечистым духам, и они выходят? И разнесся слух о Нем по всем окрестным местам.

And he came to Capernaum, the city of Galilee, and taught them on the Sabbath days. And they marveled at his doctrine, for his word was with authority. There was in the synagogue a man who had an unclean spirit of demons, and he cried with a loud voice: "Leave; What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? You have come to destroy us; I know you who you are, the Holy One of God. Jesus rebuked him, saying: shut up and get out of it. And the demon, having cast him in the midst of the synagogue, came out of him, not injuring him at all. And the terror fell upon all, and they reasoned among themselves: What does this mean that He commands the unclean spirits with power and power, and they go out? And there was a rumor about him in all the surrounding places.
