Желтый свет ударил в глаза
И распался на тысячи искр.
Над землю ползет коса
И опять за окном лунный диск.
Просыпаюсь, как от иглы,
Солнца свет навсегда погас.
С темнотою один на один,
С желтым оком с глазу на глаз.
Этот дьявольский свет не унять,
В тишине нарастает вой.
Разум корчится от огня,
От холодного, желтого.
Будто стаи голодных крыс
Из подвалов придут сейчас —
Так над жизнью, как смерть, повис
Желтый глаз.
И от тысячи глаз не уйти,
Открывается в бездну вход.
Пляшут полчища черноты,
И уже не придет восход.
В уши бьется порванный ритм.
Тишина ревет в диссонанс.
И над всею землею один —
Мертвый глаз.

The hordes of blackness are dancing,
And the sunrise will not come.
A torn rhythm beats in the ears.
Silence roars in dissonance.
And over all the earth alone -
Dead eye.
