Что можно сказать? Вангелис он и есть Вангелис, альбом - саунд к японскому фильму Nankyoku Monogatari, музыка по своему интересна, сюжетна. Авторский стиль отразился на теме красноречиво, ну что же пусть Антарктика будет и такой изящно журчащей и хрустальной, да и в целом как я понимаю Вангелиса оптимизм это настроение которое свойственно его музыке. Среди уже имеющихся работ по теме Антарктики, холода и льда творение Вангелиса стоит особняком и вызывало бы легкое удивление своей "неформатностью" если бы не один факт: альбом вышел в 1983 году, когда еще дарк амбиент только начинал свое существование, а что уж говорить о его cold поджанре. Поэтому пока Antarctica мною датируется как самая ранняя "морозная" работа в электронной музыке. Дальнейшее развитие пошло по пути сгущения красок, создания мрачных полотен, где уже оптимизму остается совсем мало места (в этом кстати неплохо преуспели блекари со своими амб. сайдами)
