24 мая отмечается День славянской письменности и культуры и одновременно День памяти святых равноапостольных Кирилла и Мефодия. Святые Мефодий и Кирилл жили в Византии в IХ веке. Они создали славянскую азбуку и объединили славян единой письменностью и единой православной верой. Это величайший византийский вклад в культуру славянских народов.
