Православныя веры светильницы, монашества непоколебимии столпи, земли Российския утешителие, преподобнии старцы Оптинстии, любовь Христову стяжавшии и души своя за чада полагавшии, молитеся ко Господу, да утвердит земное Отечество ваше в православии и благочестии и спасет души наша[3].

Воистину дивен Бог во святых своих, Пустынь Оптину якоже вертоград старчества явивый, идеже богопросвещеннии отцы, тайная сердца человеческаго ведуще, народа Божия печальницы доблии явишася: сии бо на путь покаяния грехом отягощенныя наставиша, в вере колеблющияся светом Христова учения просветиша и Божией премудрости научиша, страждущим и немощным спострадаша и исцеление дароваша. Ныне же, во славе Божией пребывающе, молятся непрестанно о душах наших[3].
