Спеша неумолимо, время мчится
Сурова и безжалостна судьба.
До наших дней дошла святая притча,
Прошедшая сквозь долгие века.
Давным-давно гласит нам то приданье,
Когда ещё сонм джиннов не исчез,
Царь Соломон огромным царством правил
Пророком был он посланным с небес.
И наделенный свыше, грозной властью
Людские споры мог он разрешать.
Правдивое и мудрое решенье
Скрепляла Соломонова печать.
И вот по справедливости однажды,
когда на троне суд земной вершил,
в людском обличии к Пророку
явился ангел смерти Азраил.
Явился он весь в белом одеянии
и ангельский был бесподобен лик.
Пришел он от Всевышнего с посланьем,
и во дворце люд намертво затих.
С почтением, приветствовав Пророка,
благословив речь начал Азраил.
И излагая весть вдруг ненароком,
он на купце свой взгляд остановил.
И с изумленьем посмотрев сурово,
он пристально в глаза взглянул купцу.
И не промолвил он ему ни слова,
и дрожь прошлась по бледному лицу.
И покачнув главою с удивленьем,
принесшую с собой окончив речь.
С Пророком, распростившись, удалился,
И к Соломону бросился купец.
"О мудрый Соломон, тебя молю я,
исполнен я предчувствием конца.
Проклятие на мне, ведь Ангел смерти
не зря же посмотрел в мои глаза.
Богат я очень и к тому же молод,
не хочется так рано умереть.
Прошу перенеси меня отсюда,
туда, где не настигнет меня смерть".
"Твоё желанье я смогу исполнить", -
сказал,ему не торопясь,Пророк.
"К Всевышнему взывая, попрошу я,
чтоб ветром ты унёсся на восток.
Сквозь облака седые, через горы
пускай же унесут тебя ветра,
коль скрыться хочешь ты от смертной доли,
страна куда прибудешь далека".
И произнёс молитву Соломон.
И вдруг свирепый смерч вокруг поднялся,
и по дворцу пронесся вихрем он,
и растворившись в тьме,купец умчался.
Прошло два дня и с праведным веленьем,
к Пророку вновь явился Азраил
и выслушав посланье с нетерпеньем,
премудрый Соломон его спросил:
"Твоё деянье для меня священно,
расспрашивать хоть мне и не к лицу,
скажи мне Ангел,почему сурово,
в глаза ты посмотрел тому купцу?"
"Я Ангел смерти, я судьбы конец,
по воле Бога,по исходу дней.
Как только же смолкает стук сердец,
я души забираю у людей.
Когда же направлялся я с посланьем,
от Господа Всевышнего к тебе,
я получил святое предписанье,
что жизнью станет меньше на земле.
Ещё для одного настал черед.
Я получил от Господа приказ -
где смерть наступит,имя человека,
чтоб умертвил его я через час.
И удивленью не было предела,
когда того,кого скончался срок,
не на востоке,а у ложе трона,
на западе увидел я Пророк.
И повинуясь божьему веленью
я через час исполнил свой приказ.
Его я встретил там, в стране далекой,
навек светильник дней его угас.

And suddenly a fierce tornado around the rose,
and the palace he swept like a whirlwind ,
and disappearing into the darkness , the merchant rushed off .
Two days passed and righteous decrees
again appeared to the Prophet Azrael
and having listened to a message from impatience ,
Wisdom of Solomon asked him :
"Your a deed for me is sacred ,
though I ask not to the person ,
Angel tell me why severely
you looked into the eyes to the merchant ? "
"I am the angel of death, fate I end
God's will , by the end of days.
Ceases as soon as the sound of hearts ,
I take people souls .
When I was going with a message
from the Lord Almighty to you
I got holy PROVISIONS
that life will be less than on the ground.
For another it was the turn .
I received an order from the Lord -
where death occurs , the person's name ,
so I killed him in an hour.
And surprisingly there was no limit
when the one who died term
not in the east , and in the bed of the throne,
in the west I saw the Prophet .
And obeying the Divine will
an hour later I fulfilled my order.
I met him there in the distant
forever extinguished his light days .
Slowly inexorably , time rushes
