В начале творческого пути ребята стали играть гитарную психоделику в стиле таких краут-рок групп, как «Neu!» и «Can». Позже коллектив переходит в эпохальный для Ижевска жанр электронной музыки. Недолго осваиваясь в новом жанре, «Самцы Дронта» снова бьют прямо в цель: новое экспериментальное звучание, напоминающие дарк-вейв и синт-поп, ставит наших героев в одном списке с легендарными голландцами «Clan of Xymox». Это не было случайным совпадением, новое звучание «Самцов Дронта» стало подстать британскому инди-лейблу «4AD», особенно напоминая шотландцев «Cocteau Twins» (одни из участников «4AD»).
Лирика коллектива — это мрачные хладнокровные тексты, основанные на лишении эмоций и страстей. Большая часть тем отдается одиноким героям, вроде Всадника без головы, Джека-потрошителя или Человека-невидимки. Мощные образы, которые можно переосмыслить не один раз. Все это и женский вокал создает непередаваемый образ группы.

At the beginning of the creative path, the guys began to play guitar psychedelic in the style of such steal-rock groups, as "Neu!" and "CAN". Later, the team moves into an epochal electron music for Izhevsk. For a short time in a new genre, "Male Drarta" again beat right in the goal: a new experimental sound, reminiscent of Dark Wave and Sint Pop, puts our heroes in the same list with the legendary Clan of Xymox Dutch. This was not a random coincidence, the new sound of "males drone" began to settle the British indie label "4AD", especially reminding the Scots "Cocteau Twins" (one of the participants "4AD").
