Глава 41. Самоотдача
1. Не постигший самоотдачи не удостаивается чести высших сил, не получает дары Духа, ибо он закрыт для стука вечности.
2. «Отдавать все» – есть дух ученичества. Ученик, неспособный отдать все, не обретет Беспредельное. Самоотдача есть жертва своего «я» учеником Беспредельному Духу.
3. Только тот, кто способен отдать все, обретает все на Пути и становится всем. Мастер есть тот, кто отдал все личное, а затем обрел все Беспредельное. Никто не может стать Мастером, не отдав всего себя. Таково правило Пути.
4. Плоды самоотдачи – неизмеримы, тайны – ошеломляющи, возможности – беспредельны.
5. Ученик начинает с малого – с отдачи привязанностей, гордости, привычной картины мира, способа жить среди людей, отсечения надежд и планов. Начиная с отдачи малого, ученик постепенно приходит к «великой самоотдаче» – самого себя. Для Мастера такая отдача есть условность, поскольку он видит, что ученику с самого начала ничего не принадлежит. Поэтому он улыбается, видя, как ученик самоотвержен в самоотдаче.
6. Что же отдает ученик? Свои иллюзии. Иллюзии ученика – реальны, поэтому усердие ученика должно быть реальным.

Starting with the giving of the small, the student gradually comes to the “great self-giving” - of himself.
