Sura begins with the exaltation of praise to Allah Almighty for having sent down the Holy Noble Qur'an containing a warning, admonition and a good proclamation. In this Sura the story is told of people who were resurrected after they had fallen asleep and stayed in the cave for more than three hundred years. These people were believers who fled from the ruler who persecuted them for their faith, and who lay in the cave all this time. Then they were resurrected, which is a sign that confirms the power of Allah in resurrection after death.
