Слова из духовной тьмы:
«Распяли Христа иудеи,
Но только не мы».
На площади выла орава,
И в трепете слышала Мать:
«Варраву, нам дай, Варраву,
А плотника надо распять!»
Толпе, в разъяренные лица,
Ответил во гневе Пилат:
«Ну что ж, отдаю вам убийцу,
По духу он друг ваш и брат».
Христа увели на Голгофу,
Солдаты, поднявши мечи,
А после от грома оглохли
Испуганные палачи.
А после, бия себя в груди,
Когда небо стало ясней,
Испуганно каялись люди,
В жестокости страшной своей.
И вот мы теперь вспоминаем
Весь ужас и горечь креста.
Но все ли действительно знаем,
Что сами казнили Христа?
Грехи наши мучили, били
Его в предпасхальные дни.
Мы все там на площади были,
Мы все там кричали: «Распни!»
И если нас это печалит,
Мы истину вспомним одну:
Бог кающихся прощает,
Коль сердце открыто Ему.
О, как велика Его милость!
Звучит несмолкаемо весть:
Свершилось! Свершилось! Свершилось!
Прощение грешникам есть!
