Одно я чудесное знаю придание:
У моря кудрявая нимфа жила,
Томилась бедняжка тоской ожидания
И горькие слезы о милом лила...
Но тщетно слезами она орошала
Волнистые пряди роскошных кудрей
И тщетно рыдающей песней своею
Пловцов задремавших от снов пробуждала...
Но сжалились боги, и чудо свершилось,
Вдруг арфа явилась из тела ея,
Волос ее пышных волна превратилась в
Волшебные струны печально звеня...
Пусть время несется, но с той же тоскою
Рокочет и стонет и дышит струна,
Когда я до арфы дотронусь рукою,
Все та же печаль и любовь в ней слышна...

One thing I know is wonderful giving:
A curly nymph lived by the sea,
Languished poor thing longing expectations
And bitter tears about sweet lila ...
But in vain she irrigated tears
Wavy strands of luxurious curls
And in vain crying his song
Swimmers dozed off from dreams awakened ...
But the gods took pity, and the miracle happened,
Suddenly a harp came from her body,
Her hair lush wave turned into
Magic strings sadly ringing ...
Let the time rush, but with the same longing
Roars and moans and breathes string
When I touch the harp with my hand,
