"Апокалипсис" (откровение) – пророческая книга, последняя в числе Новозаветных книг. Книга написана св. апостола Иоанном Богословом на острове Патмосе, куда он был сослан Домицианом за свидетельство об Иисусе Христе; состоит из 22-х глав. Цель откровения – утешить верующих среди гонений и рассеять заботливые опасения их на счет будущности Христианства, на которое со всех сторон ополчаются и Иудеи (11:1-17), и язычники (11:18-19,20), и лжеучители (13:11-19). Предмет его – брань змия, древнего искусителя, с Агнцем Искупителем, полная, окончательная победа Агнца и будущее обновление всего мира. Its subject is the abuse of the serpent, an ancient tempter, with an agent snitcher, a complete, final victory of the Lamb and the future update of the whole world. The book is the following words: “... this testify says: she, coming up soon! Amen. She, my Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with all of you, Amen. ”
