Два марсианина
с радужными надкрыльями
всюду искали своих, как воды в пустыне.
Два марсианина
так отчаянно мимикрировали,
что чуть-чуть друг друга не пропустили.
Думали, что больны, вызывали лекарей,
наблюдали повадки людей –
в метро их тысячи.
После первого же полёта они уехали,
сняли комнату за Мытищами
и устроили там конкретный локальный странный
Марс – с его невиданными растениями,
пылевыми бурями, розовыми туманами
и почти незаметными
силами тяготения.
И под вечер, особенно если погода лётная,
в сумерках, чтоб не смущать человеческий разум,
два марсианина бродят по небу – лёгкие,
легче людей
в два с половиной раза.

everywhere they sought their own, like the waters in the desert.
Two Martians
so desperately mimicked,
that they hardly missed each other.
They thought that they were sick, called doctors,
observed habits of people -
in the metro there are thousands of them.
After the first flight, they left,
rented a room for Mytischi
and arranged there for a specific local strange
Mars - with its unprecedented plants,
dust storms, pink fogs
and almost imperceptible
forces of gravitation.
And in the evening, especially if the weather is flying,
in the twilight, so as not to confuse the human mind,
