Эта страшная авария произошла около девяти часов вечера 18 августа 2013 года в Истринском районе Московской области на реконструированном участке Новорижского шоссе (на данный момент участок отремонтирован), виновником этой аварии считается водитель ВАЗ-2114, выехавший на встречную полосу и подрезавший Мерседес Гелендгваген. Тот в свою очередь от удара вылетел на встречную полосу и протаранил 5 машин, а сам вылетел на закрытый участок дороги. В результате этой аварии погибло 2 человека, водитель Мерседеса - работал в прокураторе (вылетел из лобового стекла машины, погиб на месте) и водитель Крайслера - молодая девушка (скончалась в больнице), а также пострадало 3 человека. Как показала экспертиза оба водителя были в трезвом состоянии.
