когда-нибудь, в пустынной полумгле,
над облаком столкнутся наши души,
и вспомним мы о жизни на Земле.
Мне снова жизнь сквозь облако забрезжит,
и я пойму всей сущностью своей
гуденье лип, гул проводов и скрежет
булыжником мощенных площадей.
Из этого постылого покоя,
одну минуту жизни посуля,
меня потянет черною рукою
к себе назад всесильная Земля.
Тогда, обет бессмертия наруша,
я ринусь вниз, на родину свою,
и грешную томящуюся душу
об острые каменья разобью.

As sailors meet on land,
someday, in a deserted gloom,
Our souls will clash over the cloud,
and we will remember about life on Earth.
I again life through the cloud will dawn,
and I will understand with all my essence
droning of the lindens, the rumble of wires and gnashing
cobblestone paved areas.
From this shameful rest,
one minute of life is a promise,
I will be drawn by a black hand
back to itself the omnipotent Earth.
Then, the vow of immortality is broken,
I rush down to my homeland,
and a sinful, tormented soul
I will break the sharp stones.
