Land of the Fearless Birds посвящена памяти жертв трагических событий, происходивших в Карелии с 1937 года. Всё писаласось под особым, мрачным и тяжёлым впечатлением от книги "Карелия 37". В эти времена на севере РСФСР творились ужасные вещи: в одном только Красном Бору было расстреляно более тысячи человек, буквально каждый камень был залит человеческой кровью.
