Радоница – день особого поминовения усопших, выпадает на вторник недели, которая следует за Пасхальной. С этого момента Церковный устав вновь позволяет совершать заупокойные службы, отмененные на Пасху ради великой радости о Воскресении Христовом. Несмотря на поминальное содержание, Радоница считается праздником. В этот день православные, молясь об умерших родственниках, вспоминают, что Христос освободил души, томящиеся в аду, и с пасхальной радостью надеются на воскресение мертвых. На Радоницу принято совершать подаяние «на помин души», раздавать пасхальную снедь – куличи и крашеные яйца.
